The house
La Casonia is the result of a wish: to share with our guests the peace and quiet you can only feel in a rural environment, surrounded by nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
La Casonia was built over 100 years ago but has since been fully renovated. Its 168 m2 are distributed in:

La Casonia is on a 1500 m2 plot of land surrounded by a stream. It is the perfect place to enjoy the sounds of the countryside and the air you breathe. Not forgetting, of course, that the villages of Hoznayo, Solares and Entrambasaguas are only 5 minutes away by car. There you will find all kinds of services: a supermarket, a fishmonger, a butcher, a laundry, a health centre, restaurants, bars, a chemist and banks.
Nearby you will also find a bakery selling quesadas and sobaos pasiegos, the typical cheesecakes and sponge cakes made only in Cantabria.
You also have all the leisure you could possibly want within a 15 km radius, ranging from the beaches of Somo, Galizano or Santander to emblematic villages such as Liérganes and Santoña. There is also a wide range of activities for you to do such as hiking, surfing, golf, a day at the beach…

A relaxing weekend in an incredible natural setting.
If you need to disconnect from the real world, come here. Perfect for families travelling with children but also for couples and groups of friends. The house is impeccable, and the hosts have such an eye for detail. The kitchen is equipped. The cleaning is second to none, and the beds are super comfy!!
Perfect for spending time indoors, but also outdoors. The barbecue is ideal for enjoying the fresh air. We will no doubt come back!!!
Even though it is set in the middle of nature, it is very close to Santander and other charming villages. Oh! I nearly forgot! The attention received from the hosts was unbeatable. They were super attentive and willing to answer all our queries and advise on the best routes and places to eat… Very charming people!

Both the house and its environments exceeded our expectations. We spent 3 wonderful days there. The house has a traditional feeling about it, but it has been renovated and is perfect. It has a massive garden for the children to play. Sonia, the host, is charming. She cared for us wonderfully and recommended things to do in the vicinity. We will come back!
